As a result of continued growth in its Asian markets, Europlacer is seeking to appoint China Sales Manager to be based at its sales office in China.

Job Description & Candidate Profile
An overview of the responsibilities for the China Sales Manager is below:
i. Job Title: Europlacer China Sales Manager
ii. Reporting to: Europlacer Asia Sales Manager
iii. Main Responsibilities:
This position is a key business development role with the successful candidate
responsible for the growth of the business through market and customer
development.
· Achieve business growth through new account development and new program
wins;
· Direct sales of high value capital goods through direct customer relationships,
representatives and distributors;
· Negotiate on behalf of the company for all kinds of sales and marketing cases
in China with proper etiquette and business practices;
· Provide ongoing training, coaching, mentoring and development for Sales
Team to achieve business targets;
· Oversee the domestic sales and export/ import affairs for Europlacer;
· Assist in definition of differentiation strategy for the region;
· Develop and manage key customer relationships through efforts of the Sales
team;
· Liaise with local authorities as necessary;
· Interface with Corporate management and communicate and implement its
strategy and decisions for China;
· Submit business report on a regular basis to Europlacer Asia Sales Manager;
· Consolidate and provide market information feedback from the Field Sales
Team to Europlacer Asia Sales Manager.
iv. Qualification & Experiences:
· Ethnic Chinese (likely) with a long term commitment in China;
· Fluent English (written and spoken), possibly UK or USA educated;
· Track record of success in high value capital equipment sales or value added
sales
· Great familiarity with SMT equipment sales, ideally pick and place;
· If from SMT industry, then experience of highly technical product sales (such
as pick and place, vision, software solutions, etc) where technical
differentiation is needed and not just selling on price;
· Experience with L/C terms to protect Europlacer and to improve smoothness of
negotiation preferred;
· Familiar with Chinese regional custom and practice;
· Familiarity with European custom and practice;
· Experience with managing representatives/distributors: demonstrable success
with installing new representatives and gaining results; while cultivating
existing representatives and building good relationship;
· Experience of direct sales of high value capital goods as well as via
representatives/distributors. Knowledge of requirements when negotiating with
Asian finance and senior management positions; and understanding of
Chinese etiquette and business practices;
· Strong negotiator, able to put Europlacer case for cost- performance and not
just price;
· Dependable/honest character (no under-table!);
· Prepared to travel extensively;
· Able to work to business objectives on own initiative. Ideally able to lead the
Europlacer Chinese business activity.
iv. Location: Shenzhen or Shanghai, China
v. Target Compensation:
The starting compensation will depend upon, among others, the individual’s
experience, qualifications, capability and current earnings.
