North China's International Electronics Manufacturing Exhibition Opens Today—Expectations Raised to New Heights as Thousands of Trade Visitors Attends the Event

Expectations are high as the third Bohai Electronics Week (BEW 07) opens today at the Tianjin International Exhibition Centre. Thousands of decision makers, managers, purchasers, and technical personnel from all areas of the electronics manufacturing industry are gearing up to glean valuable knowledge from international heavyweights and hear about the latest products on the electronics manufacturing market

Organizers Reed Exhibitions have been working round the clock to ensure that the show really does live up to its renowned maxim: "bringing the whole world of electronics to your doorstep". Now, in only the third year of this event, visitor numbers are expected to increase from last year's 3,442 to more than 5,000. Sister to NEPCON China and NEPCON South China and multiple international shows from the NEPCON Series, BEW is indeed rapidly proving itself a worthy member of the family. Reed Exhibitions predicts another successful show this year.

Over the three-day event, BEW will bring the key players in the industry to Tianjin so that they can discuss business opportunities, generate new contacts and present the latest technologies. This year, the eager exhibitors hail from nine countries and regions namely, the USA, UK, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, China and Germany. A choice selection of world class names including Borison , Electrolube, Innov-X Systems, Kasion, Mirtec, Murata, Nagaoka Electronics Machinery, Nihon Superior, OK International, Saki, Shimadzu, Folungwin and Surface Mount Technology will sprawl across the 7,000 square metres of exhibition space, waiting to make contact with the movers and shakers at BEW.

Visitor delegations of over 800 high-quality visitors from 30 major electronics manufacturing companies such as Samsung, Motorola, Panasonic Automotive Electronics have also grabbed the opportunity to peruse the displays of cutting edge technology. They can expect to discover a cornucopia of equipment and services for surface mount technology, test and measurement, electronics manufacturing applications.

Mr. Li Zhenyu, a DFBA engineer at Nokia, says excitedly, "BEW has a positive influence in North China with new equipment and suppliers; it brings great selection of choices." However, Mr Li is just one of many electronics professionals in Northern China who look forward to the multitude of new products and ideas that come out of BEW, the rapid growth in this region has created a great need for a local industry platform of world calibre.

Finally, visitors to BEW 07 can expect more than just displays of technology from big names. Communication and training are vital to encouraging more productive links between local and international companies. They are also very important facilitators of the BEW ethos to provide business, technological and networking solutions in just one show. Held in-conjunction with BEW 07, SMTA China North Conference 2007 addresses the industry's most pressing issues concerning electronics manufacturing, advanced packaging and lead-free reliability. The seminar will cover topics on SMT, soldering, test and measurement, and more. First-class technical experts and professionals from companies like Cookson, Comet, Huawei, Intel, Indium Corporation and Zestron will allow visitors a unique opportunity to hear about the latest technical developments.
